Disconnect all telephones in the room. Have reception hold all
calls and take messages for participants. Do not allow people
to be called out of your presentation to answer the telephone.

Portable Telephones

Same as pagers. Ask participants to turn them off and leave
them in their briefcases.


Call them by name and politely ask them to be quiet. Say, "Iím
sorry but we can only have one meeting at a time...."
